SUNGLASS OPTICS LIMITED TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SUPPLY
- Please note that all references to “Sunglass Optics” “us” “we” “our” or any similar derivative includes Sunglass Optics Limited. All references to “the website” includes www.sunglassoptics.co.uk and www.sunglassoptics.com
- We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. We keep and use information in line with the Data Protection Act 1998.
- This policy and our terms of use and any other documents referred to set out the basis on which any personal data we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be processed by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal data and how we will treat it.
- All Order and subsequent purchase of Goods (as defined below) or services from Sunglass Optics shall be governed by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.
THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS DO NOT AFFECT YOUR STATUTORY RIGHTS AS A CONSUMER.
In these Conditions:
- "Sunglass Optics" is the trading name for Sunglass Optics Limited, trading on the internet at www.sunglassoptics.co.uk, and www.sunglassoptics.com, on the telephone at +44(0) 20 8863 0742 and by mail order to 16 Harley crescent, Harrow, Middlesex, HA1 4XJ. "We" / "Us" / "Our" refers to Sunglass Optics, "You" / "Yours" refers to the Customer

- The content of this website and your relationship with Sunglass Optics are governed by English law and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
By submitting your order to Sunglass Optics you confirm:
Customer Obligations
- You are aged 16 or over and are not registered blind or partially sighted;
- You are in possession of a written prescription for your spectacles that has been given to you by a suitably qualified person in the last 24 months (or 12 months if you are aged 70 or over); and
- You will supply accurate details of your current prescription (including any notes on the prescription) when requested.
Orders for Goods
- Orders to Sunglass Optics must be submitted either via the web at www. sunglassoptics.co.uk, or www.sunglassoptics.com, or by telephone on +44(0) 20 8427 1492 or by completing a mail order form in the current catalogue.
- Submission of an Order represents an offer to purchase Goods from Sunglass Optics, and we may confirm receipt of this offer via email (if the Order is placed via the Website) or verbally (if the Order is placed via telephone).
- Prescription Glasses orders are only accepted by us once your payment has been processed and they have been reviewed and authorised by a Dispensing Optician.
- In the case of the non prescription goods your order is accepted once the required payment has been accepted or when the relevant goods are shipped, whichever occurs first. We will confirm acceptance of your Order via email or verbally.
Limitations of Supply
- We will make a reasonable effort to ensure that all Orders are fulfilled; however we cannot guarantee the availability of Goods. If the Goods you have ordered are unavailable, we will attempt to contact you to give you a choice to receive an alternative or a refund. If we are unable to contact you, your Order will be cancelled and you will be given a full refund.
- On the advice of our Dispensing Opticians, we have absolute discretion as to whether or not to accept your Order.
- If considered necessary or appropriate before an Order is accepted, Sunglass Optic’s Dispensing Opticians have absolute discretion:
- to contact you to discuss your Order, provide advice and/or arrange a free face-to-face consultation with you;
- to request that you send us a copy of your written prescription;
- to contact directly, or request that you contact, the optician who provided your prescription to verify and/or discuss your prescription;
- to request that you obtain your pupillary distance measurement from your optician; or
- Request that you obtain a new written prescription from your optician.
Prices and Payment
- Prices stated are inclusive of any Value Added Tax (VAT) that may be required to be remitted to tax authorities by Sunglass Optics.
- We will use best endeavours to ensure the accuracy of the prices and price related information stated in our current catalogue and on the Site.
- However we cannot guarantee that we will not make a mistake and misprice an item inadvertently. If this is the case, the Dispensing Optician reviewing and authorising your Order will notify you of the error before your payment is processed. You will then have the choice to either accept the correct price or to cancel your Order.

Returns (of Goods)
Aftercare
- We want you to be completely satisfied with your glasses but recognise that, from time to time, difficulties may arise. In those rare cases, we are determined to do everything we can to ensure that you are happy with the outcome. If, for any reason, following receipt of your glasses you are not happy with your purchase, please call one of our qualified opticians or customer care assistants by calling the number below :

Your right to cancel
- Under the United Kingdom's Distance Selling Regulations, you have the right to cancel the contract for the purchase at any point from the time of ordering until seven working days after delivery.
- If we've already shipped your order, you'll need to package the items and send them back to us, at return addresses - sunglass optics Limited, 16 Harley crescent, Harrow, Middlesex, HA1 4XJ.
- If we don't receive the item back from you, we may arrange for collection of the item from your residence at your cost. We will refund the relevant part of the purchase price for that order as soon as possible and in any case within 30 days after we receive your notification.
Liability
Sunglass Optics shall not be liable in contract, tort, negligence, statutory duty or otherwise, for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from or in any way connected with your use of this website, the Content or any other website linked to this website, including without limitation, damage for loss of business, loss of profits, business interruption, loss of business information, or any other pecuniary loss (even where we have been advised of the possibility of such loss or damage) Provided that nothing in these terms or elsewhere shall limit or exclude the liability of Sunglass Optics for death and personal injury arising from Sunglass Optics’ negligence, or any other liability which cannot be excluded or limited by law including fraudulent misrepresentation.
We will supply the Lenses as per the prescription submitted by you. Sunglass Optics shall not be liable for any loss or damage you may suffer as a result of providing inaccurate or incomplete prescription details. We cannot accept returns for any prescriptions that have been entered incorrectly.
If the goods we deliver are damaged or defective, we shall have no liability, unless you notify us in writing of the problem within 7 working days of the delivery of the goods in question.
We shall have no liability to you for any failure to deliver goods ordered, or any delay in doing so, or for any damage or defect to the goods delivered that is caused by any event or circumstance beyond our reasonable control.
We aim to reply to all your emails within 24 hours. We will also be happy to call you back during office hours at a more suitable time. We will need to speak on the phone before authorising a return

The Site's design, names, text, images, graphics, logo are all owned by, or consented to, Sunglass Optics. They may not be reproduced for any commercial or public purpose without the expressed consent of Sunglass Optics.
The "Sunglass Optics" name or any other registered or unregistered trademarks displayed on the Site may not be used without the prior consent of Sunglass Optics.
These Terms and Conditions of Sales should be read in conjunction with Sunglass Optic’s Privacy Policy. Your statutory rights are not affected.
